The Level 3 Award in English for Literacy and Language Teaching are for those needing to undertake some skills development to meet the entry requirement for joining subject specific teaching qualification in literacy and ESOL.

The Level 3 Award in Mathematics for Numeracy Teaching are for those needing to undertake some skill development to meet the entry requirement for joining subject specific teaching qualifications in numeracy.

This courses is for people who are interested in training to teach numeracy and would like to develop their skills and knowledge of the subject, before starting a teacher training course.

Blended learning, combination of online provision via Learning Management System (Moodle), backed up by online tutor support.

Option based on minimum of 10 students we can offer the above and 4 weekend (Saturday) face sessions at a suitable location.

Assessment Methods

Practical Demonstration - Case study - Written assignment 

All the units are knowledge-based and there is no requirement to undertake assessed practical teaching to achieve this qualification. However, it is expected that the assessment will provide learners with an opportunity to apply their skills in a practical context where appropriate. This qualification is assessed through activities, which are developed by the centre, internally marked and sampled as part of quality assurance/ internal verification procedures.
